Topping the summer’s events list and raising money for an extremely important cause, is the Marie Curie Masterpiece London event.
From 27 June to 3 July, art, antiques and design will come together in Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Masterpiece fair. Curators and exhibitors from around the world will attend the charity event, held in the spectacular South Grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, in the hope of raising important funds.
There will also be an official Masterpiece Midsummer Party held on 2 July, where guests can enjoy an evening of champagne, canapés, auctions and art.
Sure to be one of the highlights of London’s summer social scene, the event will be hosted by Chair of the Executive Committee for Marie Curie, Heather Kerzner. Following on from the success of last year’s Masterpiece event, which was held at iconic London hotel Claridge’s, the evening is sure to raise funds and awareness for a cause that effects so many.
Guests at the party will have the opportunity to purchase art, antiques, luxury items and even money-can’t-by experiences, as the auctioneer brings down the hammer. And one lucky raffle winner will drive off in a brand new MINI car, if they nab the top prize.
Marie Curie Ambassador and host for the event, Heather Kerzner says, “This is an important fundraising event on the London social calendar and I am delighted that in 2013 it will be raising funds for a cause I am deeply committed to and which is highly deserving of such high profile support.”
Last year, over 35,000 people suffering with this devastating disease were able choose where and how they get to spend their final days thanks to Marie Curie’s work and determination. Masterpiece London is just one of the ways you could help to ensure even more is done this year.
